Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for an Application Support Analyst – Intermediate and offers an exciting opportunity to work with modern automation and cloud technologies in a client-facing support role. This position involves providing second-level support for internal and external applications within a Capital Market Risk division, ensuring smooth daily operations and rapid resolution of system issues.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and resolve client issues, technical outages, and system/web site problems across various applications.
  • Maintain production applications and oversee daily operational activities.
  • Manage escalations and update procedures to adapt to evolving situations.
  • Investigate operational issues, prioritize them based on severity and business impact, and document findings.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams, offshore resources, internal support teams, and external vendors.
  • Coordinate recovery efforts during outages and ensure timely resolution.
  • Support system changes and projects by assessing impact, ensuring compliance with organizational standards, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Document operational procedures, incident reports, and escalate issues as needed to ensure continuous improvement.

Desired Skill-Set

  • 3-4+ years of experience in Application Production Support.
  • Proficiency with Feedhub and Autosys.
  • Strong scripting skills in Unix (KSH) and Windows PowerShell.
  • Experience with ServiceNow for incident and change management.
  • Client-facing experience demonstrating excellent communication skills.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.

Nice to Have

  • Jira (no-code scripting experience).
  • Confluence documentation skills.
  • Exposure to Agile development methodologies.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive team player with excellent collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and in on-call environments.
