Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for an Event Coordinator – Marketing. This position involves planning and executing high-visibility internal and external events for a leading financial organization, with a focus on engaging senior executives and clients. The role offers an excellent opportunity to showcase your event management skills, collaborate across teams, and contribute to strategic business objectives.

Pay rate range (CAD): $32.61/hr – $39.13/hr

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary contact and liaison for senior executives and clients during events and conferences
  • Coordinate logistics, scheduling, and communications for internal and external events
  • Design and deliver exceptional client and attendee experiences
  • Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to support event execution
  • Develop and manage event budgets, timelines, and calendars
  • Obtain necessary approvals for budgets and event strategies from leadership
  • Prepare briefing materials and coordinate schedules for senior executives
  • Implement and monitor event tracking tools to evaluate program effectiveness and alignment with strategic goals
  • Support internal conferences and cross-border event initiatives
  • Oversee the selection and management of promotional materials and merchandise

Desired Skill-Set

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in event management or related project management roles
  • Strong understanding of organizational strategies and objectives
  • Knowledge of financial services industry trends and competitive landscape
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with professionalism in interactions with senior leadership and clients
  • Ability to work independently, handle ambiguity, and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence stakeholders
  • Experience managing large and complex budgets
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities

Nice to Have

  • University Degree or related education
  • Event planning certification or college diploma in event management
  • Experience with digital or virtual event platforms
