Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Sr. Solution Designer. This position involves leading end-to-end solution design initiatives within a dynamic banking environment, collaborating closely with both technical and business stakeholders to modernize applications and workflows.
Salary range (CAD): $115,000 – $125,000
Responsibilities
- Allocate approximately 30% of time to hands-on solution design activities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across technical and business teams to coordinate solution development.
- Facilitate Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions to ensure alignment among teams.
- Analyze complex requirements and recommend efficient, scalable design solutions.
- Communicate and present design decisions clearly to senior executives.
- Support modernization projects focused on enhancing applications and workflows.
- Ensure solutions adhere to SDLC best practices and architectural standards.
- Identify potential issues early and provide creative, effective solutions.
Desired Skill-Set
- Proven experience as a Solution Designer within the banking industry.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end SDLC processes.
- Deep knowledge of application integration, including application and back-end system interdependencies.
- Familiarity with the client’s technology stack: Angular, Vue.js, JavaScript, Microservices architecture.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to feedback effectively.
Nice to Have
- Experience with modern banking applications and workflows.
- Strong background in stakeholder engagement and facilitating design sessions.
- Knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies.
- Prior experience working on application modernization initiatives.
- Familiarity with other frontend frameworks or cloud integrations.
