Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Team Lead API & Data Development – .NET/Azure Databricks. In this position, you will be at the forefront of transforming data and API solutions within a dynamic financial services environment, overseeing key projects to modernize and optimize client-facing and internal systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of data and API developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment
  • Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines using Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory
  • Develop serverless functions and deploy web applications using Azure Function App, App Services, and App Service Plan
  • Create, implement, and maintain RESTful APIs and web services with a focus on security, scalability, and performance
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and ensure delivery aligns with project goals
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize applications using Azure Application Insights and other diagnostic tools
  • Ensure best practices in data management, API security, and cloud architecture are followed
  • Coordinate tasks across multiple projects supporting Digital StoreFront and CPAS Modernization initiatives
  • Adopt agile methodologies to manage development cycles and deliver incremental value

Desired Skill-Set

  • Minimum 2+ years of technical leadership supervising data and API development teams
  • At least 8+ years of overall experience in software development with focus on cloud-based data solutions
  • Extensive expertise with Azure Databricks: building and managing data pipelines and analytics solutions
  • Proficiency in Azure Data Factory for orchestrating data workflows
  • Strong knowledge of Azure Function App for serverless architecture
  • Experience deploying and scaling web applications using Azure App Services and App Service Plans
  • Skilled in designing and optimizing Azure SQL databases
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Lake Storage for large-scale data management
  • Ability to implement monitoring and diagnostics via Application Insights
  • Advanced skills in C#.NET for backend and API development
  • Proven experience designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs and Web API applications

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Power BI for data visualization and reporting
  • Familiarity with Redis Cache for distributed caching and performance tuning
  • Knowledge of financial services domain, including compliance and regulatory standards
  • Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes
  • Proficiency in GitHub Enterprise for enterprise source control management
  • Exposure to enterprise automation tools such as AutoSys
  • Experience with data integration, ETL workflows, and enterprise data management tools like Informatica
