Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Financial Analyst – Financial Modeling & Data Analysis. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the Canadian retail banking line of business, supporting portfolios related to personal deposits and retail lending. The successful candidate will be a flexible, proactive team player with a strong adaptive mindset, ready to take on new challenges and drive key deliverables in a collaborative environment.
Pay rate range (CAD): $43.65/hr – $52.39/hr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior management to understand and implement updates to financial models
- Perform maintenance and updates of financial and data models, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business needs
- Execute monthly roll-overs, verifying data ingestion and consistency
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and ensure data integrity
- Prepare and update financial presentations for business review meetings using PowerPoint
- Collect and process data to support inquiries from various business groups
- Conduct day-to-day investigations and provide timely support to team members
- Generate reports for distribution across multiple business units
- Retrieve information from existing models and databases to fulfill ad hoc requests
- Support project initiatives and team objectives with flexibility and adaptability
Desired Skill-Set
- Minimum 3 years of relevant financial analysis experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline
- Strong financial modeling and data analysis skills
- High proficiency in MS Office Applications, particularly Excel (Pivot tables, VLookups, functions) and PowerPoint
- Investigative mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
- Well-rounded, versatile, and adaptable to contribute beyond primary responsibilities
- Positive attitude with a keen eagerness to learn
Nice to Have
- PowerBI or SQL experience
