Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Bilingual Banking Associate- AML. This position offers the opportunity to provide essential operational support, gain valuable insights into banking processes, and collaborate with a talented team to ensure efficient transaction processing and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Process incoming requests with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring timely completion in accordance with established procedures
- Validate and review documents related to government and CRA compliance
- Manage high volumes of work while adhering to strict deadlines
- Perform gatekeeping functions by reviewing and filtering requests, looking up relevant documents, and closing requests effectively
- Support daily operational workflows, including request fulfillment and issue resolution
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to address inquiries and escalate issues as necessary
- Ensure all transactions and documentation are compliant with applicable regulations and internal policies
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and operational efficiency
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive information
- Assist with reporting, data analysis, and documentation as needed
Desired Skill-Set
- Bilingual in English and French (verbal, written, reading)
- Minimum 1 year AML experience or related banking/financial sector experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with the ability to quickly learn new software tools
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage high workloads effectively
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Good time management and prioritization abilities
Nice to Have
- Experience in bookkeeping or accounting
- Prior banking experience, especially with cash products such as loans, deposits, swaps, or forwards
- Knowledge of global and WSS platforms
- Familiarity with MM and FX products (e.g., options, foreign exchange spots and forwards, money market deposits and loans)
- Previous experience working in back-office processing or government-related transaction environments
