Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Sr. Developer (.Net/ Databricks). The successful candidate will bring extensive experience in .NET development combined with strong expertise in Azure cloud services and data engineering. This position primarily entails hands-on development with opportunities to contribute to architecture and design, supporting a critical capital markets trading platform undergoing a major migration. The role offers an engaging environment for technical growth and the chance to work on high-profile financial systems.
Pay rate range (CAD): $79.71/hr – $95.65/hr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support frameworks using .NET 6+ and C#
- Build and maintain cloud solutions leveraging Azure SQL PaaS, App Services, Function Apps, Blob Storage, Key Vault, Data Factory, Databricks, and Delta Lake
- Develop and integrate REST APIs with OAUTH authentication
- Support and enhance data engineering pipelines and ETL processes
- Implement automation and orchestration using PowerShell and scheduling tools such as Autosys
- Contribute to architectural decisions, best practices, and provide cross-functional technical guidance (~20% of role)
- Collaborate with developers, BAs, and technical leads to deliver scalable, reliable, and robust solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to ensure high system availability
Desired Skill-Set
- 10+ years of hands-on .NET development experience, proficient in .NET 6+ and C#
- Strong knowledge of Azure cloud services: App Services, Function Apps, Azure SQL PaaS, Blob Storage, Key Vault, Data Factory, Databricks, Delta Lake
- Expertise in REST API development with OAUTH security protocols
- Experience in enterprise frameworks and reusable component development
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation
- Familiarity with scheduling tools like Autosys
- Solid understanding of data engineering concepts, ETL processes, and pipeline orchestration
- Excellent problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills
Nice to Have
- Capital markets or financial services experience
- Knowledge of GL, accounting processes, and SAP models
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
