Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Network Analyst. This position involves providing senior-level support within a critical network operations environment, managing network infrastructure, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring 24/7 network reliability. Pay rate range (CAD): $41.55/hr– $49.86/hr
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day network operations during assigned shift, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and escalations.
- Collaborate with shifts and teams to maintain seamless shift handovers and effective communication.
- Diagnose and resolve complex network issues across LAN, MAN, WAN, wireless, firewall, load balancer, and optical systems.
- Support high-priority incident management, including P2 events and incident calls.
- Engage with internal teams and vendors to escalate and resolve persistent issues.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures and knowledge base articles.
- Assist in automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
- Monitor network health, identify risks, and escalate significant problems promptly.
- Contribute to process improvements and participate in training sessions for junior team members.
- Track, prioritize, and manage incident queues effectively.
- Support change, problem, and escalation processes to minimize service disruption.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
- Develop and review technical documentation to enhance team knowledge and support.
- Report emerging issues, process gaps, and automation opportunities to leadership.
Desired Skill-Set
- Cisco CCNP certification with 3+ years of troubleshooting experience or Cisco CCNA with 5+ years of troubleshooting experience.
- Strong knowledge of network routing and switching protocols, Cisco routers/switches, and Telco connectivity.
- Experience with TCP/IP, Cisco Catalyst/Nexus, Aruba CX Switches, and SDWAN such as Cisco Viptela or Aruba Silverpeak.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco ACI, Palo Alto Firewalls, F5 Load balancers, Aruba or Cisco WiFi, VMware NSX is advantageous.
- Proficiency with monitoring tools like SevOne, Infoblox, ExtraHop, and ThousandEyes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve network issues efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of Cisco Viptela SDWAN or Aruba SDWAN.
- Experience with Palo Alto firewalls, F5 load balancers, and VMware NSX.
- Certifications such as CCDP or ITIL are beneficial.
- Experience supporting production environments in a Tier 1/1.5 network support role.
- Knowledge of automation tools and scripting to streamline operations.
