Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Java Fullstack Developer-Banking. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a key modernization and enhancement project within a leading financial institution, providing valuable experience and a healthy work-life balance, with potential for long-term engagement.
Pay rate range (CAD): $65.21/hr – $78.26/hr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product Owners, QA leads, and Business Systems Analysts to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Develop comprehensive technical specifications and documentation for features and system designs.
- Design, build, and configure scalable applications to meet diverse business needs, utilizing your full-stack expertise.
- Write clean, efficient, and testable code adhering to quality standards and best practices.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Ensure high software quality through rigorous testing, adherence to coding standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to promote innovation within the development team.
Desired Skill-Set
- 5+ years of full-stack software development experience, including frontend and backend focus.
- 5+ years of Java development experience, including RESTful APIs.
- Strong understanding of software design principles and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and work efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Well-organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently as well as within a team.
- Proven problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Nice to Have
- 2+ years of experience in banking or financial services industries.
- Java certification(s).
- Agile certification(s).
