Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Sr. IT PM – Governance. This position involves managing multiple high-risk programs in the banking or financial services sector, ensuring successful delivery aligned with strategic compliance and operational goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead planning, execution, and delivery of multiple regulatory-focused programs across technology initiatives.
- Indirectly manage diverse project teams including Business Analysts, SMEs, and technical resources within Agile, hybrid, or PDLC frameworks.
- Engage executive sponsors, senior leadership, and stakeholders to ensure transparency, compliance, and delivery of program objectives.
- Establish robust governance structures and protocols to support program oversight.
- Communicate program status, risks, and issues effectively to key stakeholders at all levels.
- Provide strategic advice on best practices in program management, risk mitigation, and compliance.
- Collaborate with partners to assign appropriate resources and ensure timely delivery.
- Develop and manage program budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, incorporating risk factors.
- Proactively identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to alleviate potential impacts.
- Support vendor management, RFP processes, and strategic sourcing activities for program success.
- Utilize TDBG principles and best practices for program lifecycle and governance documentation.
Desired Skill-Set
- 10+ years of Project Management experience in large, complex technology projects within a financial institution.
- Proven track record managing multi-million dollar budgets and ensuring compliance with governance standards.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, especially with executive levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Experience using MS Office Suite, Jira, Confluence, and Clarity is a plus.
- Certifications such as PMP or Scaled Agile are an asset.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience within banking organizations.
- Regulatory delivery experience.
- Complex data project experience.
- Familiarity with Agile tools and methodologies.
