Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Sr. Endpoint Infrastructure Consultant – Banking Project. This position involves designing, implementing, securing, and managing comprehensive systems infrastructure to support seamless IT operations in hybrid or cloud environments. Pay rate range (CAD): $76.99/hr – $92.39/hr
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain enterprise systems, servers, and network infrastructure to ensure high availability and security.
- Configure, install, and upgrade operating systems, including Windows and UNIX/Linux platforms.
- Implement and enforce security policies, including access controls, firewalls, and vulnerability management.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash to improve efficiency.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure projects and system integrations.
- Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and policies.
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in disaster recovery planning and business continuity preparedness.
- Provide Tier 3 support for complex technical issues impacting systems and infrastructure.
Desired Skill-Set
- At least 5+ years of experience in enterprise-level systems administration.
- Strong proficiency with Windows Server, Linux/Unix environments, and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- Deep knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and security architectures.
- Expertise in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with configuration management and deployment tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, CompTIA Security+, or CISSP.
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of database management systems and backup strategies.
- Exposure to compliance standards such as ISO, PCI DSS, or HIPAA.
- Previous experience in financial or regulated industries.
