Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Sr. Project Analyst specializing in PMP methodology within a banking environment. This position offers the opportunity to lead and support multiple IT projects, contribute to strategic initiatives, and develop your regulatory and data management skills in a dynamic setting.
Pay rate range (CAD): $62.61/hr – $75.13/hr
Responsibilities
- Support multiple IT projects with budgets up to $10 million, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within scope
- Manage project financials, including accruals, Statement of Work (SOW) management, and forecasting variances
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and external vendors to facilitate project activities
- Prepare and deliver progress updates to senior and executive stakeholders
- Contribute to project planning, risk management, and issue resolution
- Utilize MS Office Suite extensively, including Excel (vlookups, macros)
- Maintain detailed records and documentation in accordance with project standards
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices
- Support onboarding and project initiation processes
- Adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
Desired Skill-Set
- 10+ years of progressive project management experience in banking or fintech sectors
- PMP certification strongly preferred
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong financial acumen with knowledge of accruals, SOW management, and forecasting
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel (vlookups, macros)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong coordination skills and stakeholder management experience
- Ability to present updates confidently to senior management
- Calm, practical problem-solver with ownership mentality
- Resourceful and accountable in high-pressure situations
Nice to Have
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Clarity, or similar project management tools
- Previous experience in a hybrid work environment
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements within banking or fintech industries
- Prior involvement in data management and data-related initiatives
