Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Banking Operations Analyst. This position involves supporting daily back-office transaction processing, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance within a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will handle sensitive information, contribute to process improvements, and collaborate effectively within a team.
Pay rate range (CAD): $17.60/hr – $27.70/hr
Responsibilities
- Review and process various banking transactions, including cash products such as loans, deposits, swaps, and forwards
- Track productivity and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks in line with SLAs
- Validate information for incoming transactions, perform necessary adjustments, and escalate issues when required
- Maintain high accuracy and attention to detail in all processing activities
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements and suggest process enhancements
- Support team members and partners with inquiries and transaction support
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies, industry regulations, and confidentiality requirements
- Contribute to team efforts and communicate effectively to meet operational goals
- Participate in training and onboarding activities to stay current on policies and procedures
Desired Skill-Set
- Strong proficiency in Excel and MS Suite (Access, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with macro processes and operational workflows
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills
- Business maturity and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Self-motivated, reliable, and eager to learn
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Capacity to adhere to strict deadlines and manage high volumes of work effectively
Nice to Have
- Experience with global banking platforms such as Global and WSS
- Knowledge of foreign exchange and money market products
- Proactive, go-getter attitude with a focus on continuous improvement
