Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a PowerBI Developer- Banking. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to automating data processes and creating insightful dashboards within a leading financial organization. The role involves working on PowerBI, Excel, SQL, and automation projects to support data-driven decision-making.
Pay rate range (CAD): $32.61/hr – $39.13/hr
Responsibilities
- Analyze complex data sets to derive meaningful insights for the organization
- Develop, design, and maintain PowerBI dashboards and reports that align with business needs
- Support automation initiatives using Excel, PowerBI, Python, and SQL to improve data workflows
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions
- Assist in building applications and tools that enhance data transparency and efficiency
- Provide ongoing advice and expertise on data visualization best practices
- Participate in project meetings and status updates, approximately 1 hour per week
- Ensure compliance with organizational data security and privacy policies
Desired Skill-Set
- 2+ years of experience working with PowerBI, including dashboard creation
- Proficiency in advanced Excel functionalities, with at least 4 years of experience
- Hands-on experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets
- Familiarity with automation projects in a corporate environment
- Effective communication skills for stakeholder interaction
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines
Nice to Have
- Experience in the banking or financial services industry
- Knowledge of Python for data automation and analysis
- Experience working in a large organization with structured processes
- Familiarity with data security standards within financial institutions
