Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Project Control Officer. This position involves providing critical project support in overseeing governance, coordination, and reporting across multiple workstreams as part of a major enterprise platform transition. The successful candidate will facilitate program artifacts, maintain integrated project plans, and manage cross-program dependencies to ensure seamless execution and executive reporting.
Pay rate range (CAD): $56.00/hr – $67.20/hr
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain program artifacts, including governance documentation and project plans
- Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure accurate and timely workstream reporting
- Monitor progress and manage cross-program dependencies (“five blockers”)
- Prepare comprehensive executive summaries and management reports for senior leadership
- Facilitate administrative coordination, including scheduling and meeting arrangements
- Track project financials, such as accruals, invoice processing, and financial forecasts
- Consolidate and reconcile project data, including Work Breakdown Structures and resource allocation
- Support ongoing risk and issue tracking, response planning, and decision-making processes
- Ensure compliance with project control procedures and organizational standards
Desired Skill-Set
- Proven experience managing program financials, including accruals, chargebacks, and financial reporting to executives
- Strong proficiency in MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and experience with Jira or Power BI is a plus
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
- Highly collaborative team player with strong attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, program-driven environment
Nice to Have
- Prior experience within a financial services environment
- Advanced skills in MS Project, SharePoint, and Power BI
- Experience working in a hybrid work environment with flexibility for in-office days
- Familiarity with IT project management best practices
