Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Scrum Master. This position offers an exciting opportunity to facilitate Agile practices, support multiple teams, and contribute to large enterprise software solutions within the wealth management space. The role involves guiding teams through Scrum ceremonies, removing obstacles, coaching Agile principles, and ensuring successful program increment planning.
Pay rate range (CAD): $65.14/hr – $78.17/hr
Responsibilities
- Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring productivity and adherence to time-boxing.
- Identify and eliminate impediments and dependencies, collaborating with stakeholders as needed.
- Coach and mentor teams in Agile and Scrum practices to foster continuous improvement.
- Protect teams from external distractions, maintaining focus on sprint goals.
- Promote effective communication and collaboration within teams and with external stakeholders.
- Encourage transparency by tracking relevant metrics and facilitating informed decision-making.
- Lead Program Increment (PI) planning sessions on a quarterly basis.
- Keep teams and partners aligned during project execution.
- Drive workflow improvements within and between teams.
- Support the development of self-managed Agile teams.
- Manage the coordination and communication between business units and partner groups.
Desired Skill-Set
- Strong risk, impediment, and dependency management skills
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification
- Experience with Program Increment planning and execution
- Excellent facilitation and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with proactive problem-solving abilities
Nice to Have
- Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certifications or experience
- Previous experience in banking or financial institutions
- Knowledge of Release Train Engineer practices
- Project management background
