Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Sr. Project Manager – Data Analytics (Customer Data Retention initiative). This position involves leading enterprise data projects related to customer retention and data management, with a primary focus on overseeing the implementation of purge policies for the Enterprise Customer Information File (ECIF). The role offers an exciting opportunity to manage high-impact projects within a large banking environment, ensuring successful delivery and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage enterprise data analytics projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and standards.
  • Oversee the implementation of ECIF purge policies across multiple enterprise systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory and data governance standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, business units, and compliance to facilitate project success.
  • Document project artifacts, including scope, schedules, risks, issues, and lessons learned.
  • Monitor project progress, ensuring accountability within the project team and providing weekly status updates to stakeholders.
  • Manage project budget responsibilities around $1.3 million, tracking expenses and ensuring optimal resource utilization.
  • Facilitate communication and presentations to project sponsors and steering committees.
  • Work within a Waterfall project methodology, adhering to structured project phases and deliverables.
  • Independently handle project tasks with minimal oversight, demonstrating strong leadership and organizational skills.

Desired Skill-Set

  • Extensive experience managing data analytics projects within large, complex banking environments.
  • Proven ability to handle Big Data, customer information files, and sensitive data.
  • Experience integrating data through APIs across multiple channels including branch, online banking, ATM, and regulatory systems.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, retention, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to document and manage project artifacts, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee project budgets and team progress.
  • Familiarity with Waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.

Nice to Have

  • PMP certification.
  • Prior experience working in institutions similar to BMO or comparable enterprise environments.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations and security standards.
  • Experience with regulatory reporting and customer data retention policies.
