Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Transactions Processing Officer – Mutual Funds/GIC/IFIC. This position involves handling high-volume transfer processing, responding to escalation inquiries, and ensuring accurate back-office operations within a dynamic team environment. Pay rate range (CAD): $17.60/hr – $27.70/hr
Responsibilities
- Process 50-100 back-office transfers daily, including mutual funds, GICs, and stocks
- Review, verify, and accurately execute transfer requests
- Respond to escalations from sales and front-end teams promptly and professionally
- Maintain detailed documentation of transactions and escalations
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve transaction issues effectively
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards
- Manage workload efficiently, prioritizing tasks to meet service level agreements
- Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on product and process changes
Desired Skill-Set
- Minimum 5 years of banking or financial services operations experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Extensive transfer and transaction processing experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent time management and ability to multitask
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and handle high transaction volumes
Nice to Have
- Experience with investment products such as GICs, stocks, and mutual funds
- CSC certification or IFIC designation
- Familiarity with back-office operations in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience in a similar role within a retail banking context
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in financial software tools
