Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a KYC Banking Associate. This position involves providing essential operational support within a busy banking environment, ensuring high accuracy in transaction processing, compliance, and customer service excellence.
Pay rate range (CAD): $17.60/hr – $24.87/hr
Responsibilities
- Process high-volume banking transactions, including bank drafts and everyday banking activities
- Conduct KYC checks supporting compliance standards and regulations
- Support daily operational activities to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and performance metrics
- Review and support adherence to bank policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Assist with process improvements and contribute to quality assurance efforts
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure data integrity for all transactions
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, ensuring efficient communication
- Contribute to audit readiness by following established guidelines and controls
- Handle customer data with confidentiality and in accordance with privacy standards
- Participate in daily team meetings to discuss workflow and address operational issues
Desired Skill-Set
- Post-secondary certification or equivalent experience in a banking or financial services environment
- 4 years of experience handling high-volume transaction processing within a banking or financial institution
- Proven expertise in conducting KYC checks and supporting compliance processes
- Strong understanding of bank policies, procedures, and draft handling
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to learn new software quickly and adapt to changing systems
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with internal teams and external partners
Nice to Have
- Experience with global and WSS platforms or similar financial software systems
- Knowledge of foreign exchange products, money market deposits, loans, and swaps
- Previous experience in a back-office banking or trade processing role
- Bilingual skills are an asset but not required
