Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Sr. IT Project Manager – AI. This position involves managing complex AI-driven initiatives focused on transforming client-facing processes, such as FX rate requests, through advanced technology solutions. The role offers opportunities to work on cutting-edge AI platforms, collaborate with diverse teams, and contribute to strategic innovation initiatives.
Pay rate range (CAD): $75.00/hr – $85.00/hr
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of AI projects within the financial services domain.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders and technical developers, to ensure project objectives are met.
- Manage project budgets ranging from $500K to $10M efficiently and effectively.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards, scope, and deadlines.
- Effectively communicate project status, risks, and issues to senior management and stakeholders.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies and support iterative development practices.
- Bridge the gap between business needs and technological solutions, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Proactively identify and resolve project issues, roadblocks, and dependencies.
- Drive a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement throughout project lifecycle.
- Stay current on AI trends and incorporate innovative practices into project execution.
Desired Skill-Set
- Proven experience managing AI or machine learning projects in a financial or fintech environment.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering complex initiatives.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a high-demand, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise between technical teams and business units.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision (“no hand-holding”).
- Experience managing project budgets from $500K to $10M.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable with a drive for continuous learning.
- Familiarity with startup or fintech environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and best practices in project delivery.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience working on AI, chatbot, or automation projects.
- Background in financial services or banking.
- Experience with vendor management and stakeholder engagement.
- Knowledge of white-labeling platform opportunities.
