Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Release Train Strategist. This position involves coordinating and guiding the planning, deployment, and delivery of software across multiple teams within an agile environment, ensuring smooth operations, adherence to schedules, and achievement of business goals. The role offers the opportunity to work on a major initiative in Canadian personal banking, providing significant cross-functional collaboration and networking opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate program increment (PI) planning sessions, aligning team objectives with organizational vision
  • Monitor progress across teams to ensure adherence to timelines and manage interdependencies within the release train
  • Identify and resolve obstacles affecting release schedules and product quality proactively
  • Collaborate with product management and stakeholders to define and prioritize features for upcoming releases
  • Promote effective communication and collaboration between teams, fostering continuous improvement culture
  • Generate and report key metrics to track release train performance and optimize continuous delivery

Desired Skill-Set

  • Minimum of 2+ years of Release Train Engineer (RTE) experience
  • Strong understanding of money movement and transfers (global, electronic)
  • Extensive knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and Agile principles
  • Proficiency in Jira and Confluence platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and facilitation skills
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, able to work independently and collaboratively
  • Attention to detail and adaptability to changing priorities

Nice to Have

  • Experience using Clarity project management tool
  • Certifications such as Scrum Master, SAFe Agile, or RTE credentials
  • Prior experience in a financial institution
