Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Network Analyst-Capacity Management/QoS/Banking. This position involves monitoring and managing network performance and capacity within a high-quality service environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing current network infrastructure, troubleshooting complex issues, and planning for future growth to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Pay rate range (CAD): $44.83/hr – $53.79/hr
Responsibilities
- Monitor network performance and capacity, ensuring service levels meet organizational standards.
- Analyze network incidents, troubleshoot issues, and identify root causes using packet trace analysis.
- Project future network growth needs based on data analysis and trends.
- Support incident management for high-priority network events and outages.
- Collaborate with network architects and engineering teams for capacity planning and upgrades.
- Develop and maintain detailed network capacity models and growth forecasts.
- Recommend infrastructure improvements and assist with implementation.
- Analyze network traces to optimize application flows and resolve performance issues.
- Prepare and deliver internal and client-facing reports on network performance and capacity.
- Support integration and testing of emerging networking technologies, including SDWAN, cloud (Azure, AWS), and wireless systems.
- Advocate for automation and scripting solutions to streamline troubleshooting and trend analysis.
Desired Skill-Set
- Over 5 years of troubleshooting experience in network-related IT infrastructure.
- Strong expertise in routers, switches, datacenter switching, VxLAN, ACI (SDN), load balancers, firewalls, DNS & DHCP, LAN/WAN circuits, SDWAN.
- Proven ability to analyze network traces with tools like Extrahop, Riverbed ARX, Netscout Infinistream.
- Experience in capacity planning and performance management within a QoS environment.
- Skilled in using modeling tools like OPNET (preferred) and scripting languages; experience with SQL, data mining is a plus.
- Ability to coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders in a large enterprise.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.
- Strong understanding of wireless and VoIP capacity planning.
Nice to Have
- Scripting and automation knowledge.
- Experience working on emerging technologies in cloud and SDWAN environments.
- Ability to derive insights from network data and perform trend analysis.
- Skills in network performance tools and automation scripting.
