Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a VBA / .Net Full Stack Developer. The successful candidate will join a dynamic, collaborative environment focused on developing and maintaining code for internal tools and automation processes to support operational excellence. This position offers the chance to work on impactful projects within an agile team, gaining exposure to various business functions and contributing to process improvements.
Pay rate range (CAD): $59.43/hr – $71.32/hr
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain business solutions supporting operational processes
- Collaborate with internal teams to design and implement new tools and workflows
- Support existing production tools used across Operations & Delivery teams
- Work in an Agile environment, participating in sprint planning and reviews
- Optimize SQL queries and stored procedures to improve database performance
- Create and maintain macros in MS Access and Excel for process automation
- Integrate API methods for system connectivity and automation
- Attend regular team meetings and stakeholder interactions to gather requirements and demo solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to code, tools, and workflows
Desired Skill-Set
- 5+ years of experience in code development and software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Strong backend development skills: VBA programming
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server, including query optimization and stored procedures
- Practical knowledge of MS Access and Excel macros
- Experience working with API methods
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate solutions clearly and effectively
Nice to Have
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Code review experience
- Banking or financial services industry background
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence tools
