Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Sr. IT Project Manager and offers an exciting opportunity to manage complex regulatory initiatives within a fast-paced banking or financial services setting. You will lead end-to-end project delivery, engaging hands-on from requirements gathering through to solution implementation, while overseeing substantial project budgets and multiple simultaneous initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of regulatory IT projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope, budget, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, business units, and senior management to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Engage actively in requirements gathering, solution design, and implementation phases, demonstrating a strong understanding of technical and business needs.
- Oversee project budgets ranging from $1.5 million to $2 million, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost control.
- Facilitate communication with Steering Committees, senior executives, and stakeholders, providing regular updates and managing expectations.
- Identify, escalate, and resolve issues proactively, removing blockers to keep projects on track.
- Drive change management initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards throughout project execution.
- Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues, adjusting plans as necessary to meet project goals.
- Partner with Project Coordinators and technical teams to ensure seamless integration of solutions and alignment with strategic objectives.
Desired Skill-Set
- 8 to 10 years of proven IT Project Management experience, with emphasis on regulatory projects in banking or financial services.
- PMP certification is required, with strong familiarity in standard project management frameworks.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging with senior leaders and steering committees confidently.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a solutions-oriented approach.
- Experience with change management and regulatory compliance processes.
- Proactive, self-motivated nature with a strong ownership mentality and results-driven attitude.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and stakeholder satisfaction.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with Eclipse development environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project or similar project management tools.
- Deep regulatory knowledge specific to the banking and financial sectors.
- A track record of turning red or stalled projects into successful, on-time outcomes.
- Strong partnership skills, capable of collaborating effectively with PCOs and technical teams to execute strategy.
