Working with one of the top financial clients this role calls for an Accountant/Finance Analyst-IFRS 17 who will be responsible for providing expertise in implementing and testing new processes, technologies and operating models. The successful candidate is a strong and innovative professional accountant who offers working solutions to business partners/peers/management and has strong relationship management skills and the ability to deal with changes in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.


  • Understand and support the implementation of new IFRS accounting standards. Lead activities assigned per the business plan and ensure timely delivery.
  • Provide effective accounting advice considering business, accounting and reporting implications, systems, process and control impacts, both at the subsidiary and the Bank level.
  • Support the users testing activities through input to test strategies, plans and test cases to ensure that the business requirements are met.
  • Act as key liaison with partners and external vendors and provide subject matter expertise on financial reporting and capital transactions.
  • Establish, maintain, and strengthen working relationships with appropriate business partners and stakeholders to support the delivery of the objectives of the Project.

Desired Skill Set:

  • 10 years of expertise in Financial accounting
  • 5 years of hands-on experience in Financial Reporting and Regulatory Reporting
  • 5 years of experience working in the Insurance Industry
  • 3 years of experience working with IFRS 17 regulations
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • CPA designation
  • Self-Starter with a strategic and analytical mindset
  • Excellent ability to work under pressure and need to be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where every day is different
  • Superior communication skills – be a confident, transparent and concise communicator

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Project Implementation
