Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for an AML Analyst. This position involves supporting high-risk Business Banking customers by conducting thorough KYC and EDD assessments. The role requires analyzing complex cases, documenting findings accurately, and providing sound recommendations to manage risk effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong banking background, be highly organized, and able to support a substantial caseload efficiently.
Pay rate range (CAD): $32.60 – $39.13/hr
Responsibilities:
- Manage AML KYC requests, including RFI, CDD, and EDD from the AML FIU
- Analyze and assess complex KYC reviews across multiple product lines
- Document actions and findings throughout case reviews to maintain comprehensive files
- Evaluate data to generate insights and informed recommendations
- Prepare reports, notifications, and decision briefs aligned with risk standards
- Exercise judgment to identify issues and determine appropriate solutions
- Work independently while maintaining effective communication within the team
- Support broader team objectives and respond to additional accountabilities as needed
Desired Skill-Set:
- 1-2+ years of AML KYC experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to thrive in high-volume, fast-paced environments supporting 90-100 cases
- Strong knowledge of banking operations and compliance standards
- Proven collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Influencing skills with a professional demeanor
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
Nice to Have:
- Previous banking experience
- ACAMS certification or equivalent
- Knowledge of risk and regulatory frameworks such as FINTRAC requirements
- Postsecondary education
