Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Analyst – Capital Markets Risk & Collateral Management. This opportunity involves overseeing securitiy lending business operations related to bonds and equities, with a focus on mitigating counterparty credit risk through effective risk management strategies and proactive process improvements.
Pay rate range (CAD): $46.47/hr – $55.77/hr
Responsibilities
- Monitor client portfolios daily to ensure timely collateral calls and mitigate credit risk.
- Accurately input margin tickets into the collateral management system.
- Interact extensively with internal teams and external clients to facilitate collateral processes and resolve issues.
- Conduct process reviews in accordance with Global Short-term Markets Policy.
- Resolve and escalate collateral discrepancies or disputes effectively.
- Reconcile repo collateral statements and address margining disputes.
- Contribute ideas for operational improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational risk.
- Stay informed about capital markets risk issues and assess their impact on exposures.
- Support control functions to maintain process integrity and compliance.
- Foster a respectful environment aligned with organizational policies and guidelines.
Desired Skill-Set
- 5+ years of experience in capital markets or collateral management.
- Strong background in fixed income securities.
- Proficiency in Excel, including vlookups and pivot tables.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with high initiative, quick learner, and adaptable.
- Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail.
- Effective interpersonal skills for collaboration across teams.
Nice to Have
- CFA or FRM certification.
