Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Banking Associate. This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide essential administrative support within a dynamic team environment. The role involves managing back-office tasks, processing critical information, and supporting customer service initiatives. The successful candidate will have the chance to contribute to a collaborative team with opportunities for growth and potential conversion to a full-time role based on performance and business needs.

Pay rate range (CAD): $17.60/hr – $22.77hr

Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate, organised, and efficient administrative support to team members
  • Research and validate information, process mail, and perform various administrative tasks
  • Utilise software programs and tools effectively to prepare documents and reports
  • Manage expectations and concerns through clear verbal and written communication
  • Respond promptly to inquiries from internal and external partners at both the regional and national levels
  • Support operational efficiency by tracking data, sorting correspondence, and assisting with administrative projects
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in handling sensitive information
  • Adapt proactively to changing priorities and workflows in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborate with team members to improve speed, accuracy, and overall customer experience
  • Document and escalate issues appropriately, ensuring tasks are completed within established SLAs and KPIs

Desired Skill-Set

  • High school diploma required; post-secondary education is a plus
  • Minimum 1 year of administrative experience
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to navigate spreadsheets and manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage workflow effectively
  • Reliable attendance and willingness to work onsite five days a week from 9 am to 5 pm
  • Demonstrates good judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Capable of managing sensitive information discreetly

Nice to Have

  • Typing speed of 40-60 WPM
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry
  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to adapt to frequent role changes
