Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Bilingual AML Operations Officer. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain in-depth operational experience within a dynamic financial environment, engaging with various partners and supporting essential processing activities.
Pay rate range (CAD): $17.60/hr – $24.74/hr
Responsibilities
- Manage incoming requests related to government document processing and ensure timely closure of transactions
- Validate and examine documentation received from government agencies and internal teams
- Filter, prioritize, and gatekeep requests to ensure efficient workflow
- Look up and verify supporting documents to facilitate accurate processing
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve processing issues
- Maintain compliance with AML policies and other regulatory requirements
- Support and contribute to process improvement initiatives
- Handle high-volume tasks with attention to detail and accuracy
- Participate in team meetings and communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders
- Ensure all documentation and transactions are up-to-date, accurate, and compliant with policies
Desired Skill-Set
- Bilingual in French and English (reading, writing, verbal comprehension)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Knowledge of AML procedures
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and handle high workloads
- Good understanding of banking operations, especially cash products (Loans, Deposits, Swaps, Forwards)
Nice to Have
- Experience with bookkeeping or accounting
- Previous banking or trade processing experience
- Familiarity with global and WSS platforms
- Knowledge of MM and FX products (Options, FX spots, forwards, deposits, loans)
