Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Bilingual Banking Associate. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a leading financial institution in a collaborative and supportive team environment. The role involves managing sensitive information requests, ensuring compliance with SLAs, and supporting operational processes in a dynamic back-office setting.

Pay rate range (CAD): $17.60/hr – $26.83/hr

Responsibilities

  • Manage requests for information efficiently through paper forms, email, or software systems, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Review, assign, and input request details into the system, maintaining adherence to established SLAs.
  • Generate, validate, and finalize documentation and responses, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external agencies, including government entities, handling sensitive data.
  • Escalate operational issues or non-standard requests for appropriate resolution.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Support compliance-related activities and processing of government-based information requests.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of internal policies, regulations, and industry trends impacting operations.
  • Prioritize workload to meet SLA requirements, ensuring high-quality standards.
  • Review internal processes periodically and propose enhancements for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Exercise discretion in handling confidential information and escalate high-risk activities.
  • Comply with all relevant frameworks, policies, and procedures, including Anti-Money Laundering and Business Continuity.

Desired Skill-Set

  • Fully bilingual in English and French, both written and verbal.
  • 1-2 years of experience in banking or financial services.
  • Strong administrative skills with a proven ability to meet SLAs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to handle high volumes of work under tight deadlines.
  • Understanding of banking products such as foreign exchange, money market deposits, and loans is a plus.
  • Knowledge of compliance procedures and government request handling is an asset.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience supporting compliance activities or government requests.
  • Background in anti-money laundering or regulatory compliance.
  • Familiarity with global trading platforms or financial systems.
  • Experience working in a hybrid work environment.
