Working with one of the top financial clients this role calls for a BSA- CDS Conversion/Migration who will be responsible for supporting a key Canadian Industry Clearing / Settlement initiative. The successful candidate will have excellent skills in conversions, requirements analysis and documentation, and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with business and technology stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and complete relevant conversion related Business Analyst work packages through collaboration with multiple stakeholders to prepare for operational readiness, manage deadlines and adjust to changing work priorities
  • Establish and maintain full requirements traceability and work with the business to prioritize requirements and scope changes to ensure business needs are met
  • Collaborate with technology partners and provide recommendations to support the development of system requirements and design, testing plans, artifacts/deliverables to ensure business needs are met
  • Proactively identify and track requirements risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and constraints and anticipate and effectively manage risks related to requirements. Align decisions to the client’s risk appetite
  • Contribute to Quality Assurance activities by supporting the development of test scripts and testing of developed solutions, including communication of issues and resolution
    Create a conversion project plan with input from all relevant stakeholders.

Desired Skill Set:

  • 10 years of industry experience in Brokerage, Wealth Management or Mutual Funds domain
  • 10 years of experience with post-trade activities
  • 10 years of hands-on experience with Requirements Gathering
  • Strong knowledge of CDS / DTC System
  • Excellent understanding of a brokerage back-office processing environment and systems
  • Demonstrated experience in conversion migrating trades from one system to another
  • Commendable verbal and written communication, attention to detail, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
