Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Business Analyst who drives continuous improvement across reconciliation controls, leveraging data-driven analysis, root cause thinking, and stakeholder communication to design solutions that close operational gaps and strengthen performance.

Pay rate range (CAD): $54.84/hr – $65.81/hr

Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous improvement of current-state reconciliations
  • Analyze reconciliation control processes to identify issues, opportunities, and root causes
  • Lead change initiatives using a risk-based approach across varying lines of business
  • Support reconciliation build and remediation activities for strategic initiatives and enhancements
  • Perform reconciliation build tasks by adding scripts and rules into the reconciliation platform, including testing and impact assessment
  • Provide advisory support on reconciliation build requests, including feasibility and solution options
  • Communicate proactively and share updates regularly with stakeholders to maintain alignment
  • Manage project dependencies and risks to support timely delivery
  • Foster an environment of innovation that enables teams to work smarter and simplify processes

Desired Skill-Set

  • Reconciliation background with strong understanding of reconciliation controls
  • Data analysis and quality testing experience, including statistical reporting
  • Experience reviewing dashboards and presenting findings to management
  • Project management experience supporting process improvement and delivery
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills across multiple levels
  • Organizational skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment that can be detail-oriented and sometimes ambiguous
  • Ability to translate technical concepts and think independently to propose options and resolutions
  • Ability to apply abstract thinking and problem-solving to build reconciliations using available tools
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines, multiple priorities, and shifting requirements
  • Strong knowledge of capital markets functions and processes
  • Business analysis mindset with focus on colleagues’ needs
  • Commitment to ensuring processes are effective and efficient through collaboration

Nice to Have

  • Capital Markets experience (preferred/advantage)
  • Python skills
  • Tech tooling experience such as Power BI
