Working with one of the top financial clients this role calls for a Business Analyst-Data Migration who will be responsible for leading Business Requirements and Data Migration work packages for large sized, medium to high risk and regulatory projects with multiple stakeholders and across multiple Line of Business. The successful candidate will engage, enable and lead stakeholders to a final agreement and signoff of the deliverables. The ideal candidate has proven experience in Business Analysis, System Development Lifecycle and Requirements Gathering with expertise in Data Analysis and Data Migration, PowerQuery and Archer.

Responsibilities:

  • Support development of a delivery approach and work plan, aligned with the project milestone dates and considering constraints, dependencies and strategic drivers
  • Document and validate data mapping and data migration deliverables
  • Estimate, forecast and manage assigned work including timeline
  • Engage, enable and lead stakeholders to final agreement and signoff of the deliverables
  • Assess change requests and their impacts, checking for alignment to initiative objectives at all stages
  • Communicate progress on Requirements and BOT work packages
  • Identify and manage risks and issues, escalating to manager and partners where appropriate
  • Adheres to client’s methodologies and enforces client’s standards

Requirements Management:

  • Identify, document and validate current state processes and capabilities
  • Support business by defining the business needs or problems and identifying potential solutions
  • Analyze impacts on customers, stakeholders, employees, process, technology and budgets of selected solutions
  • Plan and facilitate sessions to draw out requirements – both explicit and implicit, functional and non-functional
  • Understand, challenge, categorize, prioritize and document business requirements
  • Take ownership and complete the BA work package. Deliverables include, but are not limited to, Business Requirements documentation, business process design, business context diagram, Use Cases, data requirements and mapping, root cause and business analysis, impact analysis, alternatives and recommendations, work-around identification and documentation, report/dashboard/analytics design, deployment support, production stabilization and Day 2 maintenance
  • Conduct a review of the design and testing deliverables to ensure the solution meets the business requirements

Desired Skill Set:

  • 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst
  • 5 years of experience in Data Analysis or Migration
  • 5 years of experience in Requirements Gathering
  • Experience with a System Development Lifecycle
  • Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time
  • Strong MS Office skills including Excel, Word, Visio & PowerPoint
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in engineering, commerce, business,

Nice to have:

  • 5 years of working knowledge of Archer
  • 5 years of experience managing testing schedules and timelines
  • 5 years of experience in Risk and governance
  • Experience with PowerQuery
  • Previous financial institution or banking
  • Master of Business Administration
