Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Business Analyst – GenAI / Machine Learning to support the delivery of enterprise AI solutions across Commercial and Corporate Banking. You will partner with business stakeholders, project delivery teams, risk, compliance, and governance partners to identify opportunities, define requirements, assess impacts, and support the delivery of compliant, scalable, and measurable AI-enabled solutions. This opportunity offers the chance to contribute across the full project lifecycle, including discovery, implementation, release readiness, and user adoption, while working with emerging capabilities such as machine learning, predictive analytics, intelligent automation, decision-support tools, and generative AI.
Pay rate range(CAD): $68.84/hr – $82.61/hr
Responsibilities
- Lead business discovery sessions to document current-state processes, workflows, pain points, and user journeys.
- Gather, analyze, validate, and document business requirements in alignment with business objectives and stakeholder needs.
- Define target-state visions and translate them into sequenced roadmaps of incremental features and capabilities.
- Clearly articulate the rationale for requirements and solution recommendations, considering user needs, constraints, risks, expected value, and business objectives.
- Develop and maintain business requirements documents, process maps, workflows, user stories, and related project artifacts.
- Support backlog management and prioritization in collaboration with project managers, product owners, and delivery teams.
- Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and project teams to maintain alignment on requirements, scope, and priorities.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and project delivery meetings throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct change impact assessments and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Support the development of testing scenarios and business-focused test cases.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing, including defect tracking, stakeholder communication, business validation, and sign-off activities.
- Ensure project deliverables meet applicable governance, risk, compliance, and documentation standards.
- Support release readiness, stakeholder engagement, communications, training, and user adoption activities.
- Capture lessons learned and contribute actionable recommendations to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams supporting a range of enterprise AI capabilities, including generative AI.
Desired Skill-Set
- Ten or more years of experience in business analysis within a complex enterprise environment.
- Strong experience gathering, documenting, and validating business requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to define target-state visions and decompose them into incremental, prioritized features and capabilities.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to support requirements and solution recommendations through evidence-based reasoning.
- Experience creating process maps, workflows, user stories, and functional documentation.
- Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience supporting testing and business validation activities, including User Acceptance Testing.
- Experience working in regulated environments with risk, compliance, and governance requirements.
- Understanding of enterprise AI capabilities and use cases, including machine learning, predictive analytics, intelligent automation, decision-support tools, and generative AI.
- Understanding of the associated business, data, risk, and governance considerations related to enterprise AI.
- Demonstrated passion for AI and active engagement with the evolving AI landscape, emerging capabilities, industry trends, limitations, and potential applications within banking.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
- Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to support change management and user adoption activities.
Nice to Have
- Experience in financial services or banking.
- Exposure to AI, machine learning, predictive analytics, intelligent automation, generative AI, or broader digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar project management tools.
- Experience supporting change management, communications, or training activities.
- Familiarity with Responsible AI principles and operational governance processes.
