Working with one of the top financial clients this role calls for FX Trade Risk Analyst who will be responsible for working pro-actively with external clients and other dealers to resolve economic discrepancies on FX trades. This candidate will actively partner with internal teams, including Sales & Trading, Credit, Technology and other operations teams to ensure accurate and timely confirmation and settlement. The successful candidate must ensure trade details are confirmed, payments are sent/received/approved promptly. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of FX products with technical proficiency in Excel including VBA and hands-on experience with Murex, C++, Java and Python and trade matching platforms

Responsibilities:

  • Risk manage confirmations and settlements for FX transactions, specifically FX Options
  • Accurate and timely settlement of FX Option trades and cashflows with adherence to the internal payment policy and procedures
  • Maintain accurate and clean post-settlement workflows, including trade reconciliation breaks and failed trades
  • Resolution and escalation of all client disputes and queries
  • Project and initiative management and participation within the team and across regions
  • Establish relationships with internal partners, brokers, clients, custodians and vendors to streamline workflows wherever possible
  • Maintain department procedures and provide regular management reporting to Operations senior management and the business
  • Volume business (responsible for moving trillions of dollars for numerous clients daily)
  • The role is very much process driven and requires manual input of tasks
  • Facilitate trade flows of all currencies traded
  • Ability to deal with multiple complex issues at the same time while meeting client deadlines
  • High pressure and fast-paced job

Desired Skill Set:

  • Strong knowledge of FX products including OTC FX Options, Derivatives, Spot/Forwards, Swaps
  • Technical proficiency in Excel including VBA and SQL
  • Knowledge of risk management environment, standards, and regulations
  • Experience in Capital markets or financial services, preferably in a fast-paced client service/ops role
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail
  • University or college degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Computer Science or related discipline

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with programming languages such as C++, Java and Python
  • Experience with Murex
  • Experience with trade matching platforms such as Bloomberg, FXall, Finastra and TradeNexus
  • Working knowledge of programming tools, such as Alteryx, UiPath
