Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Business Analyst – Liquidity & Market Risk. This position involves supporting the enhancement and maintenance of liquidity systems within a dynamic and collaborative team environment. Pay rate range (CAD): $64.33/hr – $77.20/hr
Responsibilities
- Support all BAU enhancements and maintenance of current liquidity systems
- Gather and analyze requirements related to market and liquidity risk measurement
- Develop, modify, and optimize risk management infrastructure using programming tools such as VBA, Python, SQL, or Alteryx
- Prepare and deliver reports on key risk metrics including LCR, NCCF, NSFR, and stress scenarios
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Participate in meetings, primarily 1-2 hours per day, interacting mainly with internal stakeholders
- Take ownership of deliverables, ensuring they meet specified timelines and quality standards
Desired Skill-Set
- 8-10 years of experience in market and liquidity risk measurement and reporting
- Strong knowledge of financial instruments, regulations, and market risk metrics
- Experience with risk measurement tools and reporting such as stress testing, LCR, NCCF, and NSFR
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Programming skills in VBA, Python, SQL, or Alteryx are highly desirable
- Hands-on experience with Power BI for data visualization
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, highly organized, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Attention to detail, adaptable, and a proactive problem-solver
Nice to Have
- Master’s Degree in a related field
- Pursuit or completion of CFA or FRM designation
- Knowledge of risk, valuation, and reporting systems
