Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Business Analyst-Payments in a dynamic, global payments environment. The successful candidate will lead end-to-end project delivery for cross-border payment solutions, collaborating with stakeholders, documenting requirements, and supporting process improvements. Pay rate range (CAD): $65.22/hr – $78.26/hr
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project activities including requirements analysis, documentation, and stakeholder engagement
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met on time and within scope
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, risk logs, and status reports
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather and validate business requirements
- Support testing and user acceptance activities
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members throughout the project lifecycle
- Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives within the team
Desired Skill-Set
- 7+ years of Business Analyst experience in financial services or payments domain
- Proficiency in SQL and Power BI reporting (4+ years)
- Extensive experience with Jira (5+ years)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of payments, cross-border transactions, and customer journey mapping
- Ability to analyze complex data and translate into actionable insights
- Experience in large-scale, multi-faceted programs
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and foster collaboration
- Familiarity with AI concepts (Nice to Have)
Nice to Have
- Banking operations and capital markets experience
- Prior experience with similar financial institutions
- Knowledge of payment rails and transaction processing systems
- Soft skills: adaptability, leadership, problem-solving mindset
