Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Business Data Analyst (SQL/Data Reporting). This position involves supporting data analysis and reporting functions within a collaborative data analytics team to drive informed business decisions and develop robust data solutions.
Pay rate range (CAD): $50.72/hr – $60.86/hr
Responsibilities:
- Mine and curate data based on diverse business requirements
- Develop and maintain detailed data documentation, mappings, and transformation specifications
- Collaborate with development teams to design and implement data platforms and pipelines
- Create, optimize, and execute advanced SQL queries to extract relevant data sets from relational databases
- Conduct data profiling to ensure data quality, accuracy, and completeness
- Support testing efforts, track issues, and drive remediation for data-related projects
- Ensure compliance with data handling standards, including sensitive data masking and data security protocols
- Anticipate business reporting needs by designing and delivering effective reporting solutions
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including technical and non-technical stakeholders, to ensure high-quality data delivery
- Maintain knowledge repositories related to data processes and stay informed on evolving data management best practices
Desired Skill-Set:
- Extensive experience querying relational databases with advanced SQL skills
- Strong understanding of data mapping, transformation, and data profiling techniques
- Ability to translate high-level business concepts into technical data requirements
- Experience preparing comprehensive documentation for data platforms and workflows

- Effective communication skills for working with diverse team members and stakeholders
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks and data quality practices
