Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Business Information Management Analyst – Data Controls. This position involves executing enterprise data management standards, focusing on risk reporting, compliance, and data controls within a large-scale banking environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting critical outputs related to risk and compliance, working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders to ensure data quality, traceability, and adherence to standards.

Responsibilities

  • Execute activities to achieve compliance with new enterprise data management standards within risk and compliance domains
  • Collaborate with report owners to identify and prioritize critical metrics and data line items
  • Perform data supply chain analysis by decomposing metrics into underlying data elements
  • Trace data elements through systems and transformations to document data lineage and metadata
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including business reporting, technology, governance, and subject matter experts
  • Communicate effectively across stakeholders of varying technical backgrounds
  • Document data controls and assess risk and compliance metrics
  • Escalate issues or blockers to appropriate teams in a timely manner
  • Support over 40 critical outputs related to risk and compliance reporting, adhering to project timelines

Desired Skill-Set

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in risk reporting data, compliance, or related fields
  • Expertise in financial risk domains such as credit, market, or retail risk
  • Proven experience with data lineage analysis and documentation
  • Proficiency in Alteryx or similar end-user data tools
  • Strong skills in MS Office suite including Access, Excel, and Visio
  • Experience working in Agile and Waterfall project environments
  • Ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings effectively

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of data controls and data governance frameworks
  • Data control testing experience
  • Familiarity with risk management standards and compliance regulations
