Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a CAN – IT – Business Systems Analyst V and offers an exciting opportunity to influence mobile application integration within a dynamic banking environment. This position involves providing expert system analysis and leadership to support a critical claims insurance mobile platform, ensuring seamless functionality, collaborative stakeholder engagement, and continuous process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, management, and delivery of system requirements aligned with mobile standards and frameworks.
- Provide technical leadership by collaborating closely with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, document, communicate, and manage both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Maintain expert knowledge of supported systems, including components, interfaces, data flows, and business rules, to drive effective solutions.
- Operate autonomously as a senior or lead analyst, mentoring and guiding team members within areas of expertise.
- Act as a subject matter expert, consulting with clients and project teams to assess potential initiatives and ensure optimal system integration.
- Leverage domain knowledge to understand the business, product, and strategic vision; focus on delivering tangible business value.
- Assess existing technology ecosystems, collaborate on designing future states, and provide actionable recommendations to enhance customer experience.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to determine integrated solutions, evaluating impacts and managing system changes comprehensively.
- Translate complex business requirements into detailed functional specifications, incorporating non-functional considerations.
- Manage the traceability of requirements throughout design, development, testing, and deployment phases, ensuring solutions meet stakeholder expectations.
- Support testing teams by translating requirements into test scenarios and expected results, ensuring comprehensive product validation.
- Oversee quality, scalability, reusability, and innovative practices in delivering technical solutions.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives through critical thinking and process innovation.
- Provide operational and process-related analysis, supporting efficiency and effectiveness across teams.
- Participate actively within the team environment, fostering collaboration, timely communication, and a positive work culture.
- Support implementation planning and post-deployment activities to ensure successful project delivery.
- Contribute to business case development, including benefits analysis, RFI/RFP processes, and service level agreements with vendors.
- Keep abreast of emerging trends, enhancing knowledge of banking, mobile technology, and related tools to inform strategic decisions.
- Adhere to corporate standards and the organization's code of conduct at all times.
Desired Skill-Set
- Minimum of 10 years experience as a Business Systems Analyst within a financial or banking environment.
- Proven experience supporting mobile applications, with a strong understanding of their architecture and lifecycle.
- Excellent requirement gathering, documentation, and communication skills—both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on delivering customer-centric solutions.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience in banking, e-commerce, or payment systems.
- A technical background that supports understanding of system architecture and integrations.
- Familiarity with platforms such as Shopify, Amazon Web Store, or similar e-commerce solutions.
Disqualifiers
- Candidates with frequent job-hopping (less than one year at previous roles) may be less suitable, as stability is preferred for this senior role.
