Working with one of the top financial clients this role calls for a Compensation Specialist who will report to the Senior Manager, Compensation Advisory, delivering professional research, high-quality analytics and technical services to one of the client’s lines of business that support the design, development, implementation and evaluation of compensation policies and programs. This role will support the Business Banking business.
Responsibilities:
- Complete all aspects of the market intelligence process including research, end-to-end employee survey matching, data validation, interpretation and professional presentation of findings for clients’ line of business
- Prepare detailed compensation analytics and models as needed to support both cyclical and ad hoc project-related deliverables
- Support all compensation recommendations with market intelligence expertise and equity valuations
- Monitor trends in the external market
- Support the team of advisors with professional business-related research and analysis
- Manage the forecasting process (including incentive plan inventory/modeling/plan analytics) to assist Finance in setting appropriate accruals by incentive plan and business.
Desired Skill Set:
- 2 years of solid experience in Compensation
- Ability to work independently and manage one’s time
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills
- Strong working knowledge of Advanced MS Office Suite including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Advanced Excel data manipulation skills with the ability to derive findings/conclusions from large datasets
- Proficiency in Advanced Excel including Formulas, V-look-ups, Pivot tables etc.
- Undergraduate degree preferably in Mathematics, Finance, Data & Analytics, Business Management, and/or Human Resources / Labour Relations
Nice To Have:
- Working towards CCP (Certified Compensation Professional)
- Experience in Incentive plan design
