Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Customer Service – Payments. This position offers a key support function within a collaborative team responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely settlement of international financial transactions. The role provides flexible remote working, growth opportunities, and the potential to transition into a full-time employee, based on business needs and performance.
Pay rate range (CAD): $17.60/hr – $27.54/hr
Responsibilities
- Support operational processes for settlement of Security, Derivative, Foreign Exchange, and Money Market transactions globally
- Manage pre- and post-settlement activities such as account opening, confirmation, cash management, margin, and collateralization
- Provide specialized support in Asset Servicing, Correspondent Banking Services, and Wire Payment Operations
- Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting and documentation requirements
- Gather, analyze, and format data into reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc analyses
- Support change management initiatives and contribute to process and system improvements
- Resolve transaction discrepancies and escalated issues promptly and effectively
- Communicate directly with clients and internal stakeholders to address inquiries and maintain strong relationships
- Contribute to the development and delivery of training tools and materials
- Participate in cross-functional projects and process development activities
- Support operational integrity by understanding and applying regulatory standards
- Handle escalations and complex tasks within established policies and procedures
Desired Skill-Set
- 2+ years of experience with payment systems or related financial operations
- Proficiency with MS Office suite, especially Excel
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
Nice to Have
- Previous banking industry experience
- Knowledge of payment processing beyond core functions
