Working with one of the top financial clients this role calls for a Data Analyst – SAS/Tableau who will be responsible for providing specialized end-to-end BI support, visualization/presentation, and analytics for significant business and projects. This candidate will be accountable for the development, adoption and ongoing evolution of a best-in-class reporting and BI capability. The successful candidate will be working with business partners to understand business objectives and develop value-added reporting and provide ad-hoc data extracts. The ideal candidate is well-experienced in developing data analytics using several different data analytics tools while working with large sets of data.
Responsibilities:
- Produce specialized reporting packages, dashboards and scorecards for businesses, with a focus on understanding objectives and delivering insights for Source Pay Processes
- Use various methodologies to rapidly generate impactful interactive visualizations or tools
- Lead the implementation of initiatives in support of the overall business/function strategy
- Conduct analysis to provide enhanced BI to inform the management leadership team
- Create complex and comprehensive BI reporting packages and dashboards utilizing data infrastructure, localized data marts and external data sources and transform them into visual stories using appropriate systems to support client objectives
- Identify and propose data presentations to meet evolving business needs; utilize various technology/applications/ methodologies to rapidly generate impactful visualizations
- Build basic layouts and templates to be utilized by internal partners
- Validate the quality and integrity of the data included in the Reporting Packages and Dashboards
- Develop meaningful and insightful commentary/insights on new and existing reporting packages
- Work with business partners to understand business objectives and develop value-added reporting and provide ad-hoc data extracts
- Adopt, implement and effectively evolve report automation and/or visualization standards
- May be required, as a subject matter expert, to provide advisory or consultative services for supported colleagues and/or businesses regarding multi-format data visualization techniques
- Understand business drivers, definitions and metrics to interpret findings, act and provide meaningful direction
- Keep current with industry best practices and search for new and innovative ways to visually present data
- May develop and provide complex reporting, analysis, and assessments at the functional or enterprise level
- May develop and/or deliver presentations /communications to management or a broader audience
- Identify variances and contribute to the analysis, due diligence and implementation of initiatives and/or business operations within defined areas of responsibility
Desired Skill Set:
- Proven experience in designing reports and dashboards using Tableau
- Solid working knowledge of Technical Reporting
- Strong hands-on experience with SAS and SQL queries
- Expertise in Advanced Excel Macros, Pivot Tables and Advanced Formulas
- Knowledge of Data Analytics best practices
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent business knowledge
- Basic understanding of Python programming language
Nice To Have:
- Working knowledge of Confluence and Jira
- Experience with Process Automation
- A strong understanding of Procurement systems/processes within the financial industry
