Working with one of the top financial clients this role calls for an Event Co-Ordinator/Marketing who will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of successful activity and initiative execution including, as may be applicable, email template and invitation design through to and including the compliance approval stage, managing distribution of invitations, reminders, social media positioning, RSVPs, food and beverage, on-site preparations and management, cost recoveries and internal advisor tracking. The ideal candidate is someone who has someone who has some marketing background with strong communication skills, is excited about expanding their career and has an ability to support a growth mindset.


  • Targeted acquisition activity conception and/or execution at the region, branch and business line level
  • Working closely in Pacific Region with the Regional Community Manager to maintain awareness of all external sponsorships, activations and related assets available to client's partners to maximize the value of their local strategic partnerships and amplify brand presence in the province
  • Coordinating guest speakers
  • Coordinating on-site support for advisors and clients
  • Managing show flow including decks, videos, scripting, rehearsals, and guest takeaways
  • Providing advice and securing appropriate technology and audio-visual platforms
    specific to the type of the event
  • Managing post-activity tactics including, as may be applicable, guest surveys and client facing collateral with booked participants and external guests
  • Coordinating payments through finance
  • Tracking actual business outcomes from participants and advisor
  • Creating and hosting client events
  • Not an event planner – more of someone who can guide and build desks and track business
  • Working with investment manager and all client-facing roles to help prepare/organize/support client-facing events (virtual or in person)
  • Track business results from each event, work on PowerPoint
  • Need to understand equipment setup
  • WebEx events
  • Be open to reaching out to different people to introduce themselves
  • Work closely with Regional Heads, client-facing team, and compliance (re: things that are being presented)

Desired Skill Set:

  • 2 years of experience in Event Coordination with the ability to show the flow of events
  • Expert WebEx knowledge including hosting virtual events, configuration, functionality etc.
  • Expertise in MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Internet Explorer
  • Organized and Attention to Detail

Nice to have:

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the wealth banking business
  • Solid experience in Marketing
  • Experience working in the Banking or FI Industry
  • Post-Secondary education
