Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Financial Analyst-CFA. This position involves supporting treasury and balance sheet management functions through detailed reporting, data analysis, and stakeholder collaboration to enhance the bank's financial insights and decision-making processes.
Pay rate range (CAD): $34.49/hr – $41/39/hr
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly FTP reports and dashboards, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Conduct in-depth analysis to identify key drivers of FTP results and deviations.
- Investigate movement trends relative to interest rate changes and external market factors.
- Develop expertise in FTP reporting data and infrastructure, recommending enhancements.
- Collaborate with finance and treasury teams to understand and explain trends.
- Support ad hoc reporting and analytical projects to improve data infrastructure and reporting capabilities.
- Identify and address discrepancies between FTP-based and financial reporting net interest income.
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders by articulating complex findings clearly.
- Contribute to training and knowledge sharing within the team to foster continuous improvement.
- Manage competing priorities to meet project deadlines and deliverables.

- Familiarity with treasury, FTP concepts, and banking products.
- Ability to interpret market and interest rate trends.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Tableau and Power BI.
- SQL skills for data extraction.
- Knowledge of North American retail banking products.
- Understanding of treasury risk management principles, including market, interest rate, funding, liquidity, and capital management.
- CFA designation or master’s degree in a related field.
- Capital markets or macroeconomic knowledge relevant to banking.
