Front Office Trading Technology BSA
Are you an experienced and detail-oriented Front Office Fixed Income Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with strong Capital Markets knowledge and a passion for supporting trading technology initiatives?
Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Front Office Fixed Income BSA who will play a key role in analyzing, designing, and implementing technology solutions for Fixed Income trading systems. The successful candidate will combine strong business acumen with technical proficiency, supporting system integrations, data validation, and trade lifecycle management within a fast-paced front-office environment.
Responsibilities:
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from front, middle, and back-office stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with developers to design and implement trading workflow solutions and data integrations.
- Develop and execute test cases, perform data validation, and ensure smooth end-to-end implementation.
- Conduct data analysis and write SQL queries for validation, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Coordinate deliverables and dependencies across Front Office, Finance, Regulatory, Compliance, and Settlements teams.
- Track project progress and deliverables using JIRA, ensuring accountability and transparency.
- Provide clear, concise status updates to management and key stakeholders.
- Ensure high-quality, timely delivery under pressure while maintaining effective communication with cross-functional teams.
Desired Skill Set:
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst within Capital Markets or Investment Banking.
- Strong understanding of Fixed Income products and the full trade lifecycle (Front Office to Settlements).
- Proven experience supporting or implementing front-office trading platforms such as Bloomberg ALQ, Broadway, or CanDeal.
- Exposure to electronic trading, algorithmic trading, or auto-hedging workflows.
- Proficiency in SQL for data validation and reporting (queries only).
- Familiarity with FIX protocol and XML.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and drive initiatives in a high-paced trading environment.
- Collaborative mindset with a strong sense of accountability and mentorship.
Nice to Have:
- CFA certification or equivalent theoretical finance knowledge.
- Experience with Alteryx, Oracle databases, or downstream systems (Finance, Risk, Settlements).
- Familiarity with front-to-back workflows, including trade booking and Finance/Compliance integration.
- Exposure to Six Sigma or process automation initiatives.
- Understanding of US-Canada cross-border trading environments.
