Working with one of the top financial clients this role calls for a Hybrid Business Analyst/Project Manager- Institutional Equities/Electronic or Equity Trading who will lead requirement gathering activities and assist the Project Delivery Lead in activities. The successful candidate must foster connections with cross-functional team members – communicating and raising issues appropriately. The ideal candidate would be someone who is perhaps a less seasoned PM but with significant BA experience under their belt and is comfortable being a PM on specific workstreams/sub-projects within the program and is willing to be hands-on.
Responsibilities:
- Formulate recommendations regarding delivery/implementation approach after consultation with key stakeholder groups on estimated effort, resource availability, cross-program dependencies, and other implementation constraints
- Lead the planning and execution of specific projects/workstreams within a larger program
- Prepare weekly status update dashboards
- Create project artifacts ensuring adherence to approved enterprise change governance and standards (e.g. requirements documents, privacy impact assessments, data impact assessments, RACI, target operating model documents, test strategy, requirement strategy etc.)
- Facilitate detailed requirement gathering, consolidation, analysis and coordinating business sign-off
- Write user stories in JIRA
- Consolidate relevant project information in Confluence
- Document business and trade workflows using Microsoft Visio
- Create or contribute to project plans (MS Project, Gantt charts etc.)
- Lead and support testing activities
- Proactively identify and manage project risks, issues and cross-stakeholder group interdependencies
- Demonstrate sound ability to identify and solve problems
- Give timely updates on project status, analysis and findings to senior management and stakeholders
Desired Skill Set:
- 8 years of experience as a BA
- 5 years of experience as a PM
- Exposure to Electronic and Equity Trading
- Delivery experience background
- Hands-on experience with Advanced process and data flow mapping experience using Visio or similar tools
- Proficiency in Advanced Excel with expertise in working with large data sets
- Solid working knowledge of Jira and confluence
- Prior experience working with technology stakeholders including third-party suppliers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice To Have:
- CFA or FRM designation
- Sound understanding of Microsoft Project
