Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for an Infrastructure Solution Designer. As a key contributor within the Solution Design Team, you will be responsible for designing and documenting robust, resilient infrastructure-focused technology solutions to support enterprise application and business initiatives. This position involves collaborating with application development teams, business stakeholders, architects, engineers, and delivery teams to translate requirements into scalable, secure, and supportable infrastructure designs across cloud and on-premises environments.
Pay rate range (CAD): $72.46/hr – $95.65/hr
Responsibilities:
- Assess and define infrastructure requirements for new applications and technology implementations.
- Specify cloud and on-premises service needs and integration points.
- Evaluate upstream and downstream system dependencies.
- Produce detailed solution designs and provide implementation recommendations.
- Ensure solutions are resilient, secure, and aligned with enterprise standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to incorporate security best practices and cloud best practices, including Azure services.
- Support enterprise initiatives in Cyber Security, Fraud, AML, Risk, and Data/AI projects.
- Stay current with evolving infrastructure, security, and cloud technologies to advise on best practices.
Desired Skill-Set:
- 7-10+ years of experience in Solution Design, Solution Architecture, Infrastructure Design, or related roles.
- Strong expertise designing enterprise infrastructure solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services, including Databricks, Data Factory, IaaS, PaaS, API Management, and VDI.
- Proficiency with databases such as SQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
- Knowledge of VMware, middleware, networking, and storage solutions.
- Ability to translate business and technical requirements into scalable infrastructure designs.
- Experience working within large, complex enterprise environments.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Nice to Have:
- Cyber Security domain experience.
- Support experience in Fraud, AML, Risk, or Financial Services environments.
- Knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls and security monitoring tools such as SIEM platforms.
- Previous engineering or application development experience.
- Azure API Management and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
- Banking or Financial Services industry experience.
