Working with one of the top clients this role calls for an Instructional Designer who will be responsible for creating instructional sound, engaging, and target-audience-appropriate learning solutions and activities such as system tutorials, e-learning courses, case studies, simulations, scenarios, and classroom-based lesson plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop curriculum blueprint and collaborate with subject matter experts to outline goals, learning objectives, and media/learning asset requirements.
  • Design curriculum for a variety of learning approaches (i.e., e-learning, m-learning, blended, classroom-based and hybrid).
  • Work with the facilitation team to develop job aids that support self-paced, tutorial or classroom-based learning solutions.
  • Develop learning assessments and evaluations, including writing corrective feedback and remedial tutorials.
  • Design case studies and first-person simulations/branching scenarios.
  • Develop curriculum using rapid e-learning tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Snag it or other authoring tools
  • Work closely with project teams and subject matter experts to integrate content with design and development deliverables.
  • Develop timelines for assigned projects and coordinate activities of other project team members.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures.

Desired skill set:

  • 2 years of experience in instructional design.
  • Technologically competent, with a passion for web-based content development and design
  • Ability to write in various styles and formats such as creative, editorial, marketing, and technical
  • Proficiency in Articulate Storyline, and Adobe Captivate
  • Excellent organizational skills, high attention to quality, detail, and accuracy, combined with the ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate both orally and in a written context
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing work environment
  • Ability to work in a team environment and to interface with different functions/team members
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Post-Secondary Education in adult education, instructional design or learning

Nice to have:

  • Graphics, audio or video production and editing skills
  • CTDP Designation
  • French or Spanish as a second language
