Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Junior Business Analyst. This position involves supporting the development and execution of enterprise and business line distribution strategies, providing critical insights through market analysis, investor segmentation, and competitive research. The Junior Business Analyst will work closely with senior leaders and a dynamic team to deliver strategic recommendations that drive growth and enhance stakeholder value.
Pay rate range (CAD): $$37.83/hr – $45.40/hr
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and executing distribution strategies at both enterprise and business line levels
- Analyze market trends and investor behavior to identify opportunities for new products and growth
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for senior management
- Support the coordination and execution of special projects and strategic initiatives
- Collaborate with stakeholders across various teams to deliver actionable insights
- Participate in strategic planning processes and support relationship management with senior executives
- Exercise judgment to diagnose and solve problems within established guidelines
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support team objectives
Desired Skill-Set
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in asset management or related financial services
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong analytical capabilities with data interpretation proficiency
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting to senior audiences
- Creative thinking and initiative-driven approach
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and adapt to evolving priorities
- Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork orientation
Nice to Have
- Experience in banking or financial services industry
- Strategy consulting background (e.g., MBB, Big 4)
- Familiarity with Bloomberg Terminal or Power BI
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field from an accredited university
